Carmichael College was established in Morayfield in 2015 and has a current enrolment of 700 students across Prep to Year 10. By 2025 the College will have reached Prep to Year 12 with future enrolment numbers capping at 1400.

Learning Enrichment Secondary Co-ordinator

Carmichael College is a Prep to Year 10 co-educational, non-denominational Christian College situated in Morayfield. The College was established in 2015 and is enjoying steady growth. By 2025 the school will have students in Prep to Year 12.

The College is seeking applications from Christian Secondary teachers to lead the delivery of educational support for students with additional needs in the Secondary school, and to work directly with students and families in our Learning Enrichment Department. The successful candidate will also line manage a small number of Learning Enrichment Teacher Aides, and be able to give guidance and assistance to classroom teachers as they seek to provide high quality, differentiated learning.

Applicants should be available to commence in Term 2, 2023 or other negotiated date; and:

  • Have the ability to teach from a Christian perspective
  • Have the ability to co-ordinate a team and support students
  • Have the ability to oversee the data management and reporting requirements of learning enrichment
  • Be passionate about teaching and learning in Secondary
  • Be an active participant in the Secondary Leadership Team
  • Be willing to take on new forms of pedagogy

  • Be committed to pastoral care.

Health Room Officer/School Nurse (Full Time, Term Time Only)

Full Time (Term Time only) 

Carmichael College is a Prep to Year 10 co-educational, non-denominational Christian College situated in Morayfield. The College was established in 2015 and is enjoying steady growth.

The College is seeking applications from passionate Christians, with experience within the nursing field, able to provide first aid services and health care to the members of our school community.

A successful candidate, to take on this Health Room Officer/School Nurse position, must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience at or above an Enrolled Nurse level, current registration not necessary.  Registered applicants are still encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will work in collaboration with administration, teaching and support staff along with parents and must be able to:

  • Review and update Health Room policies
  • Manage Health Room and First Aid Kit supplies
  • Accurate record keeping including upkeep of students medical records
  • Manage student attendance
  • Attend excursions, sports carnivals, camps when necessary, and pack relevant First Aid Kits from time-to-time
  • 5 Days per week (term time only)

This position may also provide administrative support to the College, as required.

Learning Enrichment Teacher Aide – Extensive Support Role

Part Time

Carmichael College is seeking applications from Christian professionals to fill a 0.75FTE Teacher Aide vacancy in our Learning Enrichment Department for a Term 2 start. Previous experience and/or qualifications in Teacher Aiding will be viewed favourably.

Applications are invited from Teacher Aides who:

  • Assist teachers and students with teaching and learning activities.
  • Are willing to work 1 to 1 with a student to support individualised access to the curriculum and activities within the school.
  • Display respect and empathy for all students, and especially those with additional learning needs.
  • Display confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitively to students and their families.
  • Assist in preparing, storing, making available and clearing away teaching equipment and materials.
  • Assisting teaching staff with playground and bus supervision.
  • Assist students with special needs, this may in certain circumstances extend to moving disabled pupils, assisting with positioning, assisting with meals, toileting and dressing of pupils unable to care for themselves. Suitable training is essential.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships between the school and community particularly in regard to the ethical obligations outlined in the School Code of Conduct.
