Carmichael College is a fast-growing, co-educational school with a distinctly Christian environment. The Gospel-centred campus includes Outside School Hours Care, Carmichael Kids & Kindy, Creekside Cafe and Creekside Community Church.

Carmichael College was established in Morayfield in 2015 and has a current enrolment of 700 students across Prep to Year 11. By 2025 the College will have reached Prep to Year 12 with future enrolment numbers capping at 1400.

Primary Teacher Aides (Full Time or Part Time) to start in Term 3

The College is seeking applications from Christian professionals to fill two Primary classroom Teacher Aide vacancies and a one-to-one position. These positions will commence in Term 3 2024.

About the Role:

  • Assist teachers and students with teaching and learning activities.
  • Display respect and empathy for all students, and especially those with additional learning needs.
  • Display confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to students and their families.
  • Assist in preparing, storing, making available and clearing away teaching equipment and materials.
  • Assist teaching staff with playground and bus supervision.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships between the school and community, particularly in regard to the ethical obligations outlined in the School Code of Conduct.

0.5 Contract Middle School Teacher

The College is seeking applications for a 0.5 Contract Middle School Maths Teacher for the remainder of 2024, who also is able to teach any combination of the following: Digital Technology, Science, Industrial Technology, and/or Humanities.

The successful applicant will be registered with the Qld College of Teachers and be ready to commence in Term 3, 2024.

Campus Maintenance & Grounds team member (4-5 days per week)

Carmichael College is seeking a proactive, innovative handyperson or tradesperson who can provide and support the day to day maintenance of the campus property, grounds, facilities, services and equipment, ensuring the campus is secure and maintained and presented to a high standard.

Supply Teachers

The College is seeking applications from Christian professionals to fill Supply Teachers roles. All subject areas are welcomed across Primary School, Middle School and Senior School. The successful applicants will be practicing Christians, who are able to actively express the College’s Christian faith. Applicants will be Queensland registered Teachers who possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Have a Biblical worldview and integrate biblical principles in teaching and learning programs.
  • Ability to apply appropriate knowledge in order to teach prepared learning programs provided by the classroom teacher.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to implement effective and inclusive teaching and learning processes, including the use of learning technology and assessment, to establish a challenging learning environment in which students are encouraged to work towards attainment of their potential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students including the use of appropriate interpersonal skills, and the ability to apply appropriate behaviour management strategies that contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive learning environment.
  • An understanding of the need to work collaboratively with school staff and members of the wider community, in order to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes.
  • Provide for the physical, social, spiritual, and emotional well-being and the health and safety of students whilst at school
  • Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships between the school and community
  • Undertake playground and other supervision as required
