At Carmichael College, the safety and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority. As part of our ongoing commitment to child safety and student wellbeing, we have established clear requirements for everyone who volunteers within our College community. All volunteers are required to:
- Hold and maintain a current and valid Queensland Blue Card or Exemption Card, which must be linked to the College before commencing volunteer activities.

Understand and follow the College’s relevant policies and procedures, including the Reporting Concern of Harm and Abuse Policy, Parent Code of Conduct, Emergency Management Procedure and Incident and Hazard Reporting Policy.
- Complete the annual Volunteer Induction and required ISQ Child Safety Training before commencing volunteer activities.
- Follow the College’s sign-in and sign-out procedures whenever attending the College as a volunteer.
These requirements help ensure that everyone who serves within our College community understands their responsibilities and contributes to a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where students can thrive.
