GROWTH AND OPPORTUNITY

Building on foundations and grasping exciting new opportunities.

A welcome from Micah Payne

HEAD OF UPPER PRIMARY

Welcome to the Upper Primary Phase at Carmichael College. In this phase of learning, we cultivate not only academic excellence but also character and integrity. As students progress through grades 3 to 5, our focus extends beyond textbooks and tests. We are committed to equipping students with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of middle school and beyond. Through fostering independence and instilling a love for lifelong learning, we empower our students to embody the virtues of justice, compassion, and humility in their everyday lives. Amidst the changes and challenges of early adolescence, we provide a supportive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.

Leadership opportunities abound, allowing students to take on responsibilities and develop essential skills such as teamwork, communication, and accountability. Our rich array of extra-curricular activities in the arts, sports, and academics provides students with opportunities to explore their passions and talents. Whether it’s competing in a robotics competition, advocating for other students on the student representative council, tackling environmental challenges in the Eco-Marines program, competing on a sports field, or engaging in academic pursuits, every student has the chance to discover their unique gifts and contribute to our vibrant school community. Join us on this journey of growth and discovery as we strive to cultivate a generation of compassionate, principled leaders who walk humbly with God.

Our Years 3-5 Curriculum is designed to provide students with opportunities to build on a solid foundation of Numeracy and Literacy whilst giving students various opportunities to experience a range of learning disciplines.

“This year I have had the opportunity to be on the student council. We have worked hard to help our school and all the students.”

I have been here since Prep and I love my school. The students and the teachers are so caring and welcoming. This year on the student council we raised money for different causes. It’s a lot of fun and I’ve learned so much. I enjoyed getting to know the other leaders.
