PREPARING FOR LIFE BEYOND SCHOOL

Graduating as educated, independent, creative, and resilient problem solvers.

A welcome from Trish Broadbent

HEAD OF PRIMARY

At Carmichael College, we believe every child is uniquely created in the image of God, with inherent value, purpose, and potential. I am honoured to lead a team of dedicated educators and support staff who are passionate about nurturing the gifts and talents within each student. Our mission is to create a learning environment where children feel known, loved, and inspired to grow — spiritually, academically, and personally.

We see the Primary years as a vital foundation for lifelong learning and service. Through rich, Christ-centred education and meaningful opportunities to engage with their community and the world, our students are encouraged to discover who they are and how they can make a difference — now and into the future.

It is a joy to partner with families in this journey, and we invite you to explore the vibrant, faith-filled learning community that is
Carmichael Primary.

“Senior School Tour”

Preparation for life beyond school is a key focus in the Senior Years.

This preparation incorporates two aspects:

  • The pastoral pathway encouraging resilience, independence and social awareness.

  • The individual academic pathway promoting excellence in education.

Our aim is for our students to leave Carmichael College feeling confident to face the future with hope and optimism. To this end, we challenge and support every individual student and develop their skills and abilities, helping them to achieve their maximum potential.

CURRICULUM

We recognise the uniqueness of our Senior School learners. We strive to develop in students a deep understanding and appreciation for the world around them to enable them to graduate as educated, independent, creative, and resilient problem solvers, ready for life in the world and eternity. We are committed to delivering a curriculum, through a supportive Christian School community, that meets the needs and aspirations of our students.

GROWING TOGETHER IN EXCELLENCE

Carmichael College began its journey in 2002 with the purchase of land and a vision for a Christ-centred learning community. In 2015, we opened our doors as a primary campus, expanding to include secondary education in 2020 with our first Year 7 cohort. Today, we proudly offer a complete Senior School experience, including Year 12 from 2025.

Our College continues to grow with purpose. Guided by our Masterplan, we are building state-of-the-art facilities to support a thriving environment where students can excel academically, spiritually, and personally.

THE FUTURE

Our foundation Year 9 cohort begin their Senior School journey 2022. Their pioneering spirit and our commitment to excellent education will see this cohort through to completion of Year 12 in 2025, at which point our school will become a seamless Prep to Year 12 College by 2025.

“Our children are not only encouraged to grow in their education but also in their character, which is just as important for their post-school context.”

We truly love our Carmichael College Community. Moving our children across to the school has been one of the best decisions we have made as a family. The staff are incredible, and the school’s culture is one of the most encouraging and supportive environments we have experienced.
